Order ahead from your local shop.
LocalShopCart lets independent food shops — butchers, delis, bakeries — take pickup orders online, without building and running a website of their own.
How ordering works
- Browse the shop's counter and send your order as a request.
- The shop reviews it and accepts, declines, or proposes a change — a cut may weigh more than you asked for, or an item may have sold out.
- We keep you posted as that happens, by text message and email if you asked us to.
- You collect at the shop and pay at the counter. We take no payment online.
About the messages we send. If you tick the optional consent box at checkout, LocalShopCart texts you about that order on the shop's behalf — when it is received, accepted, declined, ready, cancelled, or when the shop proposes a change. These are transactional messages only. We send no marketing texts, message frequency varies with your order, and message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to stop them, or HELP for help.
For shops
A shop gets its own storefront, a counter it controls, and a queue of incoming pickup requests it can accept, decline, or adjust. Prices, hours, and what is on the counter stay the shop's to set. There is no online payment to reconcile — customers pay you the way they always have, at the counter.
